Reasons for Change

There were a number of reasons why the site needed a migration:

  • The monthly costs of Ning were prohibitive to maintain because it was based on a per-member subscription
  • The organization decided they needed a more focused approach to be more effective to showcase their active projects
  • Many things on Ning were recycling the same function with different names, such as Forum, Chat, Q&A, Groups; the members realized that other social media networks were already dominating the market.

Transformation Results

Supa sifted all information to showcase the more successful projects. The new interface was user-friendly and helped users manage the website. The integration of a MailChimp signup replaced the mail-list on the Ning network. Members were now able to post via emailing the webpage with the content that they would like posted.
